We are excited to invite you to a special in-person WTS Wisconsin and ITE joint event focused on the future of intercity passenger rail in Wisconsin. The event will be held at the WisDOT Southeast Region in Waukesha, WI. Event Details Date: Thursday, October 10, 2024 Time: 8:30 AM – 10:00 AM Location: WisDOT Southeast Region, Room 314, Lee Sherman Dreyfus State Office Building, 141 NW Barstow St, Waukesha, WI 53188 Agenda ·   8:30 AM: Registration & Breakfast ·   8:45 AM: ITE and WTS Announcements ·   9:15 AM: Borealis Route Presentation ·   9:45 AM: Q&A Session ·   10:00 AM: Closing Program All Aboard – Amtrak’s Borealis Learn about WisDOT's newest intercity passenger rail service, the Borealis route, which connects the Twin Cities, Milwaukee, and Chicago. Our speakers will also discuss other potential corridors being considered in Wisconsin through the FRA Corridor Identification and Development Program. This event will offer valuable insights into service planning, operations, and the exciting developments for Wisconsin’s rail network. Those using the visitor lot will need to sign in at the loading dock located on the west side of the building on the 1st floor (Room 144B) within 15 minutes of parking. Additional parking is available in the parking structure located at 212 E Saint Paul Ave, Waukesha. Parking structure fees: Free for 2 hours or less, $2 between 2 and 24 hours.
