HESI is thrilled to announce a significant achievement for the OASIS Consortium, a pivotal working group within HESI’s Emerging Systems Toxicology for the Assessment of Risk (eSTAR) Committee! https://lnkd.in/eVTUxwj The group has been awarded a generous grant of $1.2 million from the Massachusetts Life Sciences Center Bytes to Bytes Awards, further bolstered by an additional $2.5 million from industry partners. These funds are dedicated to advancing groundbreaking research at the Broad Institute of Harvard and MIT. Our mission? To delve deep into the use of Cell Painting, transcriptomics, and proteomics, to understand their role to support decision-making in toxicology. But that's not all – these funds also pave the way for the creation of a postdoctoral position at the Broad Institute, fostering talent and innovation in the field. Over the next three years, this ambitious project will embark on an exploration journey encompassing approximately 1600 compounds across three distinct cell types, organoids, and microphysiological systems. This endeavor represents a remarkable collaboration between academia, industry, and research, with the ultimate goal of transforming how we understand and assess toxicity. We are immensely proud of the dedication and expertise driving this initiative forward, and are excited to witness the groundbreaking discoveries that lie ahead. Stay tuned for more updates as we embark on this thrilling journey! #OASISConsortium #ToxicologyResearch #Innovation #Science #Collaboration #Milestone #Gratitude https://lnkd.in/gwfWGKE8
