You need to optimize in three areas. 💻 TECHNOLOGY: - ROI spreadsheets are dead. You need a dynamic tool that is built first and foremost for seller use - Easy for sales; comprehensive enough for the value team (if you have VEs/VCs); and - Simple enough for your CUSTOMER CHAMPION to defend when you’re not in the room 👨⚖️ PEOPLE: - Focus your resources in the right areas: value engineering support on top deals (set a $ threshold) - Self service motion for anything below top deals *If only your Value Engineers can use the tech, you’re likely only covering 10% of deals (or, your cost of sale is through the roof!) 📈 PROCESS: - Tight interlock with sales leadership, enablement and ops: CRO reinforces in meetings, build and leverage your field champions, embed into enablement initiatives that are aligned to company priorities - Set thresholds - e.g., deals over $100K must have value prop (same way you’d say a top account needs an account plan!) - Leverage SFDC data & reporting to spotlight deal success and drive adoption ❓ What do you think?
