This week, our Providence service center celebrated XPO driver Joe Hicks for placing first in the four-axle class at the 2024 National Truck Driving Championships. A 10-time NTDC qualifier with over 900,000 accident-free miles to his name, Joe is the first driver from Rhode Island to win a title at the national “Super Bowl of Safety.” During the ceremony, he was presented a special citation from the Rhode Island House of Representatives in recognition of this achievement. Congratulations to Joe, and special thanks to United States Congressman Gabe Amo, Rhode Island Representative Bob Quattrocchi and Rhode Island Trucking Association President Chris Maxwell for joining the celebration.

We’re glad to be able to support relief efforts when natural disasters impact our local communities. Last week, our team was able to quickly help collect and deliver 22 pallets of food, diapers, paper towels and cleaning supplies to Valdosta, Georgia, after it was hit by Hurricane Helene. We’re grateful to the Georgia Department of Public Safety for escorting our driver Tim Vogt and to Second Harvest of South Georgia for distributing the goods to those in need.

Great to be with so many customers and partners at the Journal of Commerce's Inland Distribution Conference in Chicago last week. Thanks especially to William Cassidy for leading an excellent panel on the LTL industry with XPO East Division President Tim Staroba and other experts. #Inland24
