So great chatting to co-founder of Yaala Sparkling, Tara Croker at the launch of the second edition of The Indigenous Business Review. 👏🏾 Tara and her mother, Mel, established Yaala Sparkling in early 2022 with the goal of showcasing the flavours of native plants and enhancing First Nations representation in the food industry. 🌿 Yaala Sparkling collaborates closely with First Nations suppliers to help boost the 2% ownership in the $50 million native goods and botanicals market.

As #IndigenousBusinessMonth comes to a close, we’re reflecting on what drives us forward. Our vision for Yaala Sparkling is twofold: to increase First Nations representation in the native food industry and to authentically connect people to native Australian plants. We want to see Indigenous voices at the forefront of the native food industry and inspire future generations of young mob and women to pursue their own purpose! We loved seeing Yaala Sparkling keeping people hydrated throughout SXSW Sydney! Our two favourites were Empower, an event hosted by Google and Women Who Innovate and the #SocialEnterpriseAustralia Meet Up. Both of these events fostered inclusive, collaborative spaces that spark creativity and generosity. Women Who Innovate elevates, unites, and advances women through connection and collaboration, while Social Enterprise Australia empowers organisations driving positive impact for people and the planet. It was a privilege to be part of a space where innovation meets purpose, sharing our drinks with inspiring change makers along the way. #YaalaSparkling
