YEC was formed in early 2014 by Baltu Yorkos, PE, LEED AP, CxA with a vision and desire to influence the industry with a wide range of local and international experience in MEP building services engineering and energy consultancy.  Specializing in MEP Engineering with a passion for building design, integrated building services, and energy efficient engineering. We have offices in Florida and headquartered in New York serving building owners, architects, building managers, public entities, counties, state entities, federal entities and corporates. YEC team focuses on clients, owners, architects, and the design team at large, contributing to problem solving technically and efficiently. We define client expectations early in the design process, and by establishing the level of performance required of the end product, we can provide advice on the appropriate procurement route and full project scope. YEC Engineering’s staff of engineers earned their expertise working on all types of projects. In all our years of service, since our founding in 2006, we have designed more than 1,000 properties. A comprehensive knowledge of codes, regulations, and industry standards is incorporated into all of our work. This assures that we provide quality engineering and up-to-date solutions. The principals are continuously involved in the designing, planning, control, implementation, and quality review of each project. Our timely submissions and quality engineering are the primary reasons for our clients to request our services on a repeat basis. Through our philosophy of vigorous coordination during the design phase, YEC engineers are able to minimize costly conflicts and changes during construction phase. And each project is evaluated to ensure compliance with current practices, established building codes and applicable regulations. YEC Engineering has professionals in various disciplines who have achieved the United States Green Building Council LEED’s (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) accreditation. Accordingly, we typically would examine the specific problem or deficiency, evaluate cost effective proven remediation techniques and implement solutions considering environmental concerns, longevity and cost effective constructability. Cost versus effect is always evaluated to assure that the most appropriate solution is implemented.
