In the spirit of Mayor Michelle Wu's State of the City address tonight, we wanted to elevate last year’s impact of our proud partnership with the City of Boston:
🏊 Thanks to the Office of Health and Human Services in Boston, 1,120 free swim safe lessons were given, keeping children safe around water. Additionally, 210 children received new bicycles and bike safety information for outdoor enjoyment.
👫 Thanks to the Office of Workforce Development in Boston, 865 Teens found meaningful summer employment at the Y.
🏫 Thanks to Boston Public Schools, 800 children received physical education classes, 1,600 kids participated in summer learning, 10 pre-K classrooms operated, 22 before-and-after-school sites were available, and support was coordinated at 7 Hub Schools.
👵 Thanks to City of Boston | Age Strong Commission, 180 older adults participated in the Age Well program, providing them with age-appropriate physical activity.
🥕 Thanks to the Office of Food Justice in Boston, 3.5 million meals will be delivered from our new Greater Boston Collaborative Food Access Hub.
