This week, our friends at Boston Scientific came together for a 5K, choosing Community Servings as their charity partner for the event. We're deeply grateful for the partnership we share with Boston Scientific, which goes far beyond this race. From their generous grant funding to their incredible volunteer efforts in our kitchen and their collaboration on events like this, they are true partners in our mission. A huge congratulations to the 200+ runners who hit the pavement in support of our work! Your energy and commitment inspire us.

About us
Community Servings is a not-for-profit food and nutrition program providing services throughout Massachusetts to individuals and families living with critical and chronic illnesses, like HIV/AIDS, Cancer, MS, Lou Gehrig’s disease and more than 30 others. We provide our clients, and their dependent families and caregivers with nutritious, made-from-scratch meals and send the message to those in greatest need that someone cares. Our goals are to help our clients maintain their health and dignity and preserve the integrity of their families through free, culturally appropriate, home-delivered meals, nutrition education, and other community programs.

A heartfelt thank you to our invited guests who made last Thursday’s Farm to Fork Cocktail Party at Allandale Farm so special. The setting was the perfect seasonal backdrop for an evening of connection and purpose! We’re grateful to have partnered with Chef Mavis-Jay Sanders, whose incredible hors d’oeuvres, commitment to bringing food justice to marginalized communities, and beautiful words about our mission inspired and delighted the crowd. And a big thanks to Tito's Handmade Vodka for the signature cocktails that set the tone for a great night. A special shoutout to the amazing trainees in our Teaching Kitchen job-training program who helped with prep and event execution—we truly couldn’t have done it without you! Already, our guests’ generosity is helping us meet an urgent need for resources, allowing us to serve more neighbors who are waiting for medically tailored meals from Community Servings. #communityservings #foodheals

We had an incredible time at Boston Magazine's influencer soiree at View Boston! ✨ Our team loved connecting with guests, sharing our mission, and exploring new ways to support those we serve. Plus, we got to hand out the most adorable cupcake creations from our friends at Party Favors. A huge thank you to Boston Magazine for the opportunity to spotlight Community Servings in such a fantastic setting. The night was filled with delicious food, amazing cocktails, and inspiring company, including our friends from Tito's Handmade Vodka, who generously support our work all year long. Cheers to a memorable evening! 🧡 #boston #nonprofit #foodheals

This week, our #BlueHubCapital team joined Community Servings, a long-standing borrower, for an incredible day of service. This nonprofit provides over 20,000 medically tailored, scratch-made meals each week to individuals and families facing chronic and critical illnesses across Massachusetts. We helped chop chicken, package the sides and pack meal bags for those in need. It was an inspiring day filled with teamwork, connection and the shared purpose of giving back. We're grateful to the Community Servings staff for guiding us through the meal prep process and allowing us to contribute to such an impactful cause. 💙 #CommunityServings #HealthEquity #CorporateVolunteering #FoodSecurity #Teamwork

We are thrilled to share that our CEO, David Waters, was one of the 20 individuals nationwide to receive a Community Leadership Award from the President’s Council on Sports, Fitness & Nutrition last week in Washington, D.C.! This prestigious award honors leaders who are building more vibrant and thriving communities through sports, physical activity, fitness, and nutrition-related programs. David was nominated earlier this summer by our friend and partner, Dr. Dariush Mozaffarian, Director of the Food is Medicine Institute at Tufts University. In his nomination, Dr. Mozaffarian shared, "The impact of his service to the community is evident in the positive nutrition and health outcomes among Community Servings’ clients. David’s commitment to his community has filled a gap in care for those living with critical and chronic illness and has personally touched the lives of countless clients and their families.” Congratulations, David, on this well-deserved recognition! 👏 #FoodIsMedicine #FoodHeals

We are excited to announce that we have been selected as a grantee in the inaugural cohort of Merck’s new Solutions for Healthy Communities global grant program – the company's $7M investment in innovative community-led solutions to advance equitable access to health around the world. This funding is supporting Community Servings as we continue to work toward our goal of integrating the medically tailored meal model into healthcare, in Massachusetts and nationally. We are grateful to Merck for their ongoing commitment to our mission of expanding access to medically tailored meals! Fellow grantees represent over two dozen countries and share a common belief in the power of community to drive change. Together, our goal is to reduce barriers to equitable care by empowering patients and families, building the capacity of local health workers and strengthening community-led health systems. Thank you, Merck! #communityservings
