🚨 Breaking! National STEM Week Bill Introduced in Congress 🚨 I am beyond excited to share that EXPLR’s vision for a National STEM Week has officially made it to Capitol Hill! The bill, spearheaded by U.S. Representatives Mike Carey (R-OH) and Joyce Beatty (D-OH), is the result of a collaboration between EXPLR, COSI - Center of Science and Industry and over 100 leading STEM organizations. This bipartisan initiative aims to establish an annual National STEM Week, ensuring equitable access to top-notch STEM education for every student across the U.S., especially those in underserved communities. Read the full release: https://lnkd.in/dMnsWc-v Conceived by myself and Kari Byron of EXPLR and developed by COSI, this bill sends a strong message: STEM is vital to America’s future. Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics are the keys to innovation, economic growth, and maintaining the U.S.'s competitive edge globally. ✨ Why This Matters: STEM fields are the backbone of technological advancement and economic progress. However, there’s a growing gap in access to quality STEM education, particularly in underserved areas. An annual National STEM Week will: ⭐ Spark curiosity and passion for STEM in students from all backgrounds. ⭐ Motivate families, schools, and industry leaders to champion STEM education. ⭐ Strengthen both formal and informal STEM learning environments across the nation.
