The YWCA Dayton is a nonprofit organization located in Dayton, Ohio. Founded in 1870, the YWCA Dayton is dedicated to eliminating racism, empowering women and promoting peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all. The YWCA Dayton has provided hope and the opportunity for a new beginning for generations of Dayton and Montgomery County residents during some of the most troubling times of their lives. YWCA Dayton offers a variety of programs and services including the only domestic violence shelters in Montgomery and Preble Counties. The full range of programs and services offered by the YWCA Dayton include: affordable housing programs (HomeShare, SRO), teen services (prevention education, Girls Inc, walk-ins) and professional services including case management, group therapy, counseling, crisis intervention, hotline services, advocacy and economic empowerment programs.
