Great news! The YWCA Center for Safety and Empowerment Text-to-Chat helpline is now monitored Monday - Friday, 1pm-5pm. Any messages received outside of these times will receive a response during the next operating hours. We know how hard it is to seek help when you are experiencing relationship violence, and we want to make accessing that help as easy as possible. Making a phone call to a support line or leaving the house is not always possible. And for many, an online chat might feel more comfortable than a phone call or initially meeting with an advocate in person. Text "YWCANEKS" plus your message to 847-477, or use the online chat form at www.ywcaneks.org/text. #SupportSurvivors #DVAM

In the 2024 YWCA #YWomenVote survey findings, women overwhelmingly reported the importance of addressing domestic violence and strengthening protections from sexual violence, harassment, and discrimination in the workplace As the Public Education Coordinator at the YWCA Center for Safety and Empowerment, Rachel Grollmes knows the affects that sexual and gender-based violence have on survivors and their families right here in our community.
