In recognition of World Mental Health Day (Oct. 10), four Zenoids from across the globe came together to share their personal perspectives and experiences navigating mental health at work. John Moore, Daniella McCrorie, Heidi Cambridge and Anushweta Sinha Ray are among Zeno’s group of 30 certified Mental Health First Aiders, who are trained to recognize the signs and symptoms of mental health issues. Two years ago, we introduced Zeno’s mental health ERG, Healthy Minds, and one year ago, we unveiled our Mental Health First Aiders program. Today, Zeno remains more committed to ensuring a culture of caring – inclusive of mind, body and spirit – through our signature mental well-being initiative, Be Kind to Your Mind. Check out our latest blog post to hear more about how factors like age, region and background influenced their decision to become a First Aider, and their advice to others who may be struggling: bit.ly/405rv0Z #WorldMentalHealthDay #MentalHealthAwareness

An important message from our global CEO.
Today is a difficult day for many among us. One year since the terrorist attack on Israel by Hamas: the incomprehensible suffering and loss we have witnessed over the last 365 days; the plight of the hostages Hamas has held in tunnels of terror and elsewhere and the tens of thousands of innocent Palestinians, young and old, lost in Gaza and beyond. I spoke out last year and feel compelled to do so again. Since October 7, extreme hatred has surged around the world putting many of us on edge as we go about our daily lives. It feels like a time machine back to Europe of the 1930s and 1940s. Since this time last year, there has been a 200% increase in acts of antisemitism, and anti-Muslim and anti-Arab hate is on the rise too. Thank you to Axios for their important and thorough reporting. Jonathan Greenblatt, CEO of the Anti-Defamation League, says it best, “Since October 7, Jewish Americans haven’t had a single moment of respite.” This is true for me, my family, and friends around the world. We regularly confer on how to stay safe, where to go and how to get there. This was our very discussion last night at the dinner table. I know we are not alone in that. It’s a delicate balance as we must continue to live our lives fully and joyfully – one of the important ways we honor the many who have been lost because of their beliefs. As I said to my Zeno family in an email last week, take a moment to check in on each other today. Trust me, a simple “how are you doing” will make the difference. And not just today. Please do not forget us – understand the fear many of us live in daily, along with other groups who are the target of hateful acts. I hope we can continue to make actions against antisemitism, Islamophobia, and anti-Arab hate more prevalent in our industry’s efforts to promote diversity and inclusion. And in so doing together, find light in the darkness and point our hearts and minds toward something better.
