It is a dream come true to be here in Paris for the opening ceremony of the Olympics! Being here, I'm reminded that Paris is just as much a City of Water as it is a City of Light. Paris has a rich history of water innovation that dates back centuries -- from the Roman aqueducts that once supplied the city to the 19th-century Canal de l'Ourcq, designed to bring fresh water to Paris and facilitate transportation. The iconic Seine River has not only been a source of inspiration for artists and poets but also a lifeline for the city's inhabitants. Today, Paris continues to lead in water management and sustainability. We've all heard about the city's effort to clean the Seine so that it can be used for Olympic swimming. But did you know that the water from the Seine is also used to cool over 500 buildings in and around Paris, including the Louvre museum? This innovative approach not only reduces energy consumption but also highlights the city's commitment to sustainable urban living. At ZwitterCo, we share this commitment to water innovation.
