We are looking for an experienced Account Manager to be accountable for achieving customer retention goals, identify and pursue account expansion opportunities and actively seek referral leads business. The Account Manager reports to the Manager of Account Management. The Account Manager will preferably have experience in public safety, unmanned aerial vehicles, a strong desire to build customer relationships, own their book of business and close deals.

Responsibilities

  • Be personally responsible for a book of business of critically important customers.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for customers and advocate actively for their interests
  • Meet and exceed quarterly retention and expansion revenue goals for a designated book of business
  • Identify upsell and cross sell opportunities that grow the book of business and enhance the customer experience
  • Identify and pursue expansion opportunities, develop durable relationships with customers and build raving fans
  • Understand the customer’s mission and business needs on a deep level. Partners with the customers using DroneSense’s industry leading solutions to accomplish those goals, and insure the customer is maximizing the value of their products and services
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders across the organization to advocate for the interests and requirements of customers
  • Be accountable for the customer experience throughout the customer lifecycle from onboarding to renewal
  • Identify customer challenges and propose timely and appropriate solutions. Never admire the problem or tolerate it. Always help first



Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, Engineering, Aerospace or equivalent experience required
  • 5+ years experience in account management. Demonstrated ability to achieve KPIs and quotas
  • Experience with DroneSense, drones and bleeding edge technology products is a bonus
  • Experience selling to Municipal, State and Federal agencies is strongly preferred.Experience serving or working with Public Safety is a bonus
  • Experience with RFPs and complex contract negotiations required
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to create and deliver effective presentations
  • Proficient in Google Suite and productivity tools in general
  • Familiarity with Slack, HubSpot, Zendesk, Excel, Powerpoint and Video Conferencing Software strongly preferred. Ability to anticipate and document customers’ success criteria and demonstrate solutions utilizing DroneSense products and services to accomplish those discreet objectives
  • Experience working in a fast growing SaaS organization
  • Collaborative team player who can lead through influence
  • Complete requirements for FAA Part 107 certification within 90 days of hire
  • Able to travel up to 15% of the time
