WESSCO International is a top supplier of on-board and in-room service products to the global airline and hotel industries – primarily in categories of amenities & amenity kits, passenger comfort & bedding, and food & beverage serviceware. Our mission is to connect the world’s best brands to the travel space in a way that makes the traveler’s journey better.
The company seeks to hire an Account Manager to join the North American sales team and lead designated projects and/or accounts. The position is based out of the company’s New York marketing hub.
The ideal candidate will be able to appropriately identify the needs of both new and current customers in order to help WESSCO develop customized products and win new business.
Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain relationships with customers to better understand and achieve their needs
- Make visits to our customers in North America to cultivate relationships, identify project opportunities and to make presentations/proposals.
- Lead successful customer meetings and presentations online and in person
- Work closely with customer and internal teams for planning, development and submission of bids, proposals, presentations, pricing, responses, etc
- Participate in major trade shows (domestic and overseas)
- Work cross-functionally within the company to communicate with all stakeholders in customers' success
- Manage all reporting about customers' accounts and targeted projects

- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Team player, ability to work well with other individuals and teams across the organization, domestically and internationally
- Versatile and ability to re-prioritize based on fast-changing marketplace

Education & Experience Qualifications
- Bachelors degree preferred
- 5-10 years experience in account management, sales, sales support, customer service, and/or business development
- Experience with onboard service products, in-room service products, travel, hospitality, fashion, skincare, beauty, FMCG, or lifestyle brands a plus
Work Environment and Benefits
- flexible work environment with the opportunity for remote work, coupled with the possibility of establishing a office presence in 2024/2025 (hybrid). This role involves approximately 20% travel domestically and abroad.

- Competitive salary based on experience, plus commissions on sales
