Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Project Accountant to join our team in Columbus, OH. The Project Accountant will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of various projects, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and supporting project managers throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management: Oversee the financial aspects of projects, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
Invoicing and Billing: Prepare and process invoices, ensuring timely and accurate billing in accordance with contract terms.
Cost Tracking: Monitor project costs and expenses, ensuring they are within budget and properly allocated.
Financial Reporting: Generate regular financial reports for project managers and stakeholders, highlighting key financial metrics and variances.
Project Support: Collaborate with project managers to provide financial insights and support for decision-making.
Reconciliation: Perform account reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies in project financials.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or a similar role.
Skills: Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP).
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with project teams and other departments.
Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
