Accountant

Job Summary: The Staff Accountant will be responsible for performing daily accounting tasks, including general ledger entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation. This role is ideal for a candidate who is eager to learn and grow within a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Perform general ledger accounting tasks, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records.
• Support the accounts payable and receivable functions, including processing invoices and payments.
• Assist in month-end and year-end close processes.
• Prepare and file sales tax returns and other regulatory filings as needed.
• Participate in audits by providing documentation and support to external auditors.
• Help maintain internal controls and compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Assist with special projects and ad-hoc financial analysis as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle).
• Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
