Accountant

Woodard, a leading manufacturer of fine casual furniture, seeks a skilled Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have have a strong background in financial services, possess excellent financial acumen, and be proficient in accounting software.

Summary:

Administration of accounts payable / accounts receivable, manufacturing documentation, inventory and internal accounting reports.

Job Description:

• Prepare and examine financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with laws and regulations
• Enter invoices
• Process checks / credit card runs and ACH payments
• Reconcile A/P report to General Ledger
• Perform journal entries and maintain general ledger accounts
• Conduct financial analysis to support business operations and decision-making
• Handle accounts receivable duties, including invoicing and collections
• Reconcile bank statements and ensure financial transactions are properly recorded
• Utilize accounting software for financial reporting
• Post accounting batches
• Prepare efficiency, payroll, and inventory reports
• Review work orders for proper transactions
• Sales tax reconciliation and providereporting and payment information
• Provide international invoice information
• Miscellaneous reports and projects as required by Assistant Controller and Corporate Controller
• Other duties as assigned
  
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Proven experience working as an Accountant or similar role
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
• Proficiency in using accounting software and MS Excel for financial analysis
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  
  

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with clerk responsibilities in an accounting setting
• Familiarity with accounting software for financial management
  
  

Job Type: Full Time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,0000.00 per year

Schedule: 8 hour shift Monday to Friday
