Hybrid Schedule: work 3 days in office and 2 days are work from home.
Must Have Skills Or Experience Required
A candidate with knowledge of GAAP/accounting/reporting, proficiency in excel, and someone who can work independently.
Preferred experience or skills would you like to see but not a deal breaker:
Previous accounting experience is obviously a must. Someone who has prepared journal entries or prepared financial statements is also something preferable. We have noticed that individuals who have worked in public accounting have picked assigned work much faster than those without the public accounting background. A strong understanding of excel is something else that is really required.
Minimum Education Requirements
Usually, a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance or 5 or more years of experience in financial accounting activities.
Responsibilities
Maintains adequate accounting and control for various accounting functions.
Prepares journal entries.
Assists with regulatory reporting as needed.
Prepares financial statements and reports.
Maintains and supports development of automated accounting systems, controls, and procedures.
Prepares and develops reports for management and/or for regulatory authorities.
Responds to inquiries regarding accounting policies, procedures, and issues from management, external auditors, and regulatory authorities.
