Senior Accountant

GRUBBRR is looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to oversee general accounting operations This Senior Accountant will be responsible for all aspects of the day-day activities of the accounting department but not limited to accounts receivable and accounts payable, reconciling account balances and bank statements, maintaining general ledger and assist in the month-end close procedures. Must have excellent analytical skills and a thorough knowledge of accounting principles to analyze financial reports and forecasts in our fast-paced FinTech startup.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for preparing and processing the monthly billing to customers and interacting with Customer Support to address any billing issued or customer concerns.
  • Update and maintain revenue tracking reports and prepare monthly and annual recurring revenue reports.
  • Process daily accounting functions including invoicing, vendors payments, expense reimbursements and ACH payments.
  • Reconcile inventory monthly and update inventory tracking reports.
  • Recording monthly reconciliation on revenues, expenses, and intercompany activity
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with legal, sales, and operations supporting contract negotiations and providing revenue recognition guidance on technical accounting policy and/or process issues
  • Prepare monthly commission reports for sales representatives based on compensation plans and performance
  • Review and reconcile Balance Sheet, Income Statement General Ledgers monthly and prepare appropriate schedules and supporting documentation
  • Participate in the month end close process which includes preparation of month end journal entries, account reconciliations, special reporting and researching any unusual items
  • Prepare ad hoc requests and participate in special projects. Manage and reconcile income and expenditure accounts, reconcile the company’s bank and credit card statements
  • Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements along with quarterly compliance reports
  • Prepare Monthly Consolidated Financial Statements related to the organization’s financial performance and explain variances
  • Participate in annual audits, including preparing/providing account information and answering auditors ' questions

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar related field
  • Experience in SaaS Revenue Recognition Rules and SaaS industry experience
  • Disciplined to follow defined processes, yet creative to recommend/build new, scalable approaches
  • Must possess a thorough understanding of accounting with the ability to apply Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and regulatory reporting requirements (as needed)
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, balance multiple priorities, and meet deadlines
  • Polished verbal and written communication skills and meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to work well with others and communicate clearly
  • 5-7 years professional accounting experience
  • Quick Books / NetSuite experience preferred
