Core Responsibilities Listed Below – Compensation and position level commensurate with education and experience.
- Provide aero and acoustic design solutions, concepts, analysis, and calculations for Jet Engine Test Cells utilized in ground test facilities
- Support marketing quotations with trade-offs, analyses and recommendation for optimal and cost-effective solution
- Partner with other team members to perform aerodynamic and acoustic field surveys of existing facilities and assist in commissioning and validating new test facilities
- Prepare technical proposals and reports as required
- Presentations at conference or at customer site
- Masters degree in aeroacoustics, vibration, aerodynamics or related discipline
- 2+ years of related experience or
- A combination of education and experience equivalent to above
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in aero/acoustics, fluidynamics, and statistics
- Knowledge of jet noise, vibration, infrasound, noise conversion, and compressible flows
- Familiarity with FFTs, microphones and vibration measurement, dynamic data acquisition, computer software skills (CFD, Matlab, LabVIEW)
- Team player with interpersonal skills and positive attitude.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to travel 10%
