This regulation, based on Global Technical Regulation No. 9, applies to M and N category vehicles. It is expected to take effect two years after its official publication.   🇨🇳 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗮 (𝗧𝗮𝗶𝘄𝗮𝗻) - 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗣𝗲𝗱𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗦𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 Taiwan’s Vehicle Safety Certification Center (VSCC) has released a new Technical Regulation on Pedestrian Safety, aligned with the UN R.127 02 series. The regulation will be mandatory for M1 and N1 category vehicles, starting from July 1, 2025, for new types, and from January 1, 2028, for newly registered vehicles.   🇦🇺 𝗔𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗮 - 𝗘𝘂𝗿𝗼 𝟲𝗱 𝗘𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗨𝗽𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲 Australia is progressing on emission controls with the adoption of a Euro 6d-equivalent standard. This cutting-edge approach refines traditional PDL by dynamically adjusting the influence of training instances, resulting in superior prediction accuracy. 🔍 W𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 W𝗲𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗣𝗗𝗟? Weighted Pairwise Difference Learning (Weighted PDL) builds on the PDL framework by incorporating instance weighting to improve prediction precision. Unlike the standard PDL that treats all data points equally, Weighted PDL assigns weights based on the reliability and representativeness of anchor points. This enhancement allows the model to leverage more relevant data points while minimizing the impact of outliers and noise. Our extensive empirical analysis demonstrates that Weighted PDL consistently outperforms state-of-the-art machine learning methods, particularly in regression and classification tasks. Additionally, several amendments proposing potential homologation requirements will enter into force on 22 September 2024, 𝗲𝘅𝗰𝗲𝗽𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗹𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗨𝗡 𝗥.𝟬𝟳𝟵 that will entry into force on 𝟴 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰.
