360 Talent Avenue is partnering with a pioneering leader in the aerospace industry, dedicated to advancing aviation technology. We are currently seeking a talented Aerospace Design Engineer to join their dynamic team and contribute to the development of state-of-the-art aerospace systems and components.
The Aerospace Design Engineer will be responsible for designing and developing aerospace components and systems, ensuring they meet stringent performance, safety, and reliability standards. This role requires a combination of creativity, technical expertise, and a deep understanding of aerospace engineering principles.
Pay: $85,000-$110,000/yr.
Location: New Orleans, LA
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Development:
- Create detailed designs and models of aerospace components and systems using CAD software.
- Develop specifications, schematics, and technical documentation.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate design solutions into overall project plans.
- Analysis and Testing:
- Perform engineering analysis, including structural, thermal, and aerodynamic assessments.
- Validate designs through simulations and prototype testing.
- Analyze test results and iterate designs to meet performance criteria.
- Project Management:
- Manage design projects from concept to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
- Coordinate with suppliers, manufacturers, and other stakeholders to ensure design feasibility and manufacturability.
- Prepare and present project status reports to management and clients.
- Compliance and Standards:
- Ensure designs comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Keep abreast of advancements in aerospace design and technology.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in aerospace design engineering.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., CATIA, SolidWorks).
- Strong knowledge of aerospace materials, structures, and manufacturing processes.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong communication and technical writing skills.
- Experience with industry standards and certification processes (e.g., FAA, NASA) is a plus
