Position Overview:

The Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting client projects, conducting research and analysis, and assisting in the development of internal and client solutions. This role will play a critical part in data management and analysis of the projects we undertake, providing data-driven insights to support Calibrate and our client-facing projects. This position requires basic knowledge and limited experience in the outlined areas below, with the understanding that moderate guidance and supervision will be provided to perform tasks.

Location: This is a remote position. (Preference will be given to candidates based in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, Texas, or Wisconsin)


Essential Duties/Responsibilities

The Analyst will work in project teams, which typically consist of several consultants led by a project leader. The expectation is to have an active role in all aspects of the project: identifying issues, forming hypotheses, designing and conducting analyses, synthesizing conclusions into recommendations and helping to guide and implement change.

  • Conduct research and data gathering for client projects, demonstrating increasing industry knowledge.
  • Assist with the preparation and customization of client presentations and reports.
  • Perform analysis and calculations for projects using entry-level statistical tools.
  • Attend client meetings, take detailed notes, and learn to understand client needs.
  • Support and participate in interviews with clients and stakeholders.
  • Learn and understand the firm's methodologies and processes.
  • Provide administrative support, including scheduling meetings and managing documents.
  • Shadow experienced team members and seek feedback for improvement.
  • Assist with proofreading and quality control for client materials.
  • Adhere to established processes and ethical conduct.
  • Collaborate with consultants to collect and analyze data, creating impactful reports.
  • Conduct detailed analyses and provide relevant insights based on project scope.
  • Gather and analyze business requirements, performing baseline analysis and process mapping.
  • Develop and maintain internal reporting and dashboards, drafting routine project updates.
  • Participate in team meetings, contributing insights and supporting business development activities.
  • Maintain clear communication with virtual team members across time zones
  • Attend virtual team meetings and client calls regularly
  • Perform additional tasks as requested


Required Skills/Abilities

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, interpret, and analyze data from various sources.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, effectively presenting project updates to clients.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, demonstrating respect, empathy, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and take initiative in understanding client requirements.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, breaking down complex problems into manageable components.
  • Adaptable and flexible, willing to work on different projects.
  • Basic understanding of project management principles, assisting in maintaining project schedules and quality standards.
  • Proactive approach to challenges, focusing on finding solutions rather than presenting problems.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to honesty and integrity in daily tasks
  • Willingness to actively seek feedback and set personal learning goals
  • Ability to build interpersonal connections and foster positive relationships within the team and across departments


Preferred Skills/Abilities

  • Experience working with data visualization tools such as Microsoft Power BI or Tableau
  • Previous work in data modeling/analysis
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis tools and techniques
  • Experience working with a remote workforce
  • Previous experience in a professional services firm


Travel

  • Attend Calibrates semiannual in-person retreat and other assigned professional conferences
  • All work travel and associated expenses will be paid by Calibrate


Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, data science, analytics, or a related field
  • 1 year of experience in consulting or data analysis roles, preferably with recruiting or legal industry experience, or equivalent.


Compensation and Benefits

Employees are entitled to compensation commensurate with skill and experience.


Bonus opportunities are non-guaranteed and are dependent upon individual and firm performance. Full-time employees receive benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage; vacation and sick days; paid holidays; and more.


Physical Requirements

Reaching. Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.

Operating or handling objects with the fingers is the primary method of performing tasks, such as typing.

Talking. Communicating ideas or instructions through spoken words, including the ability to convey detailed or important information accurately, loudly, or quickly.

Hearing. Perceiving sounds at normal speaking levels, with or without assistance, and being able to understand and discriminate between different sounds.

The physical requirements of this position: Sedentary work which involves sitting most of the time.

Visual acuity: The worker must have close visual acuity to perform tasks such as data analysis, transcribing, reading extensively, and working with a computer.
