Annual Giving and Digital Marketing Coordinator

Description

As a coordinator at BWF, you will use your expertise and experience in annual giving, digital marketing, and project management to help nonprofit organizations across the country and world strengthen their philanthropy efforts and advance their missions. This position is part of our Annual Giving and Digital Marketing team and will work closely with the firm’s Project Management Office (PMO).

This role will provide strategic, creative, and project management support to clients providing high quality deliverables, efficiently and within budget. The project associate will assist in developing strategic briefs, creating digital-first content, managing the production of campaign assets, and analyzing campaign results.

This position helps to lead and manage client projects, budgets and workplans, and works directly with both the BWF project team and our client partners. This position will rely heavily on previous experience managing annual giving and digital marketing projects, organization, communication, good judgement, and proactive time management. The ability to exercise initiative, independent judgement, and have accountability for various processes and projects is critical.

Essential Functions

  • Developing strategic and creative briefs for client projects.
  • Managing day-to-day operations of multiple projects from start to finish including budgets, deliverables, milestones, and required activities; communicating project status with consultants and clients on a regular basis.
  • Writing content for digital communications such as emails, social media, and websites.
  • Managing campaign creative assets and working with designers to ensure strategic alignment.
  • Collaborating with consulting team members and clients to gather requirements for the creation of both internal and client-facing documentation and reports, data analysis benchmarking, and other project specific deliverables.
  • Conducting research and benchmarking for client projects.
  • Compiling performance reports and analyzing campaign results.
  • Managing print production projects and communicating appropriately with vendors.
  • Assisting in the development and documentation of processes and procedures as they relate to the project associate team and project management at the firm.
  • Coordinating the collection and dissemination of research resources, such as industry-published reports.
  • Participating and providing leadership in firm initiatives and special projects as directed.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in annual giving and/or digital marketing.
  • Project management experience and the ability to manage multiple components of complex projects.
  • Digital content creation, such as for social media, websites, email marketing, and/or digital advertising.
  • Experience working directly with print vendors and managing complex print and mail projects.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information.
  • Well-developed organizational and prioritization skills; flexibility; attention to detail; and the ability to work both independently and with a team toward a common goal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong analytical, and interpersonal skills; initiative and follow-through; sound discretion and judgment.
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Proficiency in project management tools, survey software, database applications and Internet research tools.
  • Familiarity with the nonprofit sector a plus.

Work Environment/Conditions

  • This position can be remote or based in our Minneapolis office (locally based employees are expected to maintain a hybrid office present).
  • Position requires ability to work in a stationary position for majority of workday.
  • Continuous use of computer.
  • Frequent communication with team and clients via zoom and in person.
  • This is an exempt position that requires at least 40 hour of work per week but due to the nature of this role, additional hours are required when deadlines need to be met.
  • Overnight travel to client sites, conferences or firm meetings is sometimes required (up to 10%).
