The Design Manager is responsible for sketching, color CADS, tech packs, print surface design and development of prototypes with a concentration in Men’s Sweaters, Knits, and Bottoms.

The Design Manager is responsible for sketching, color CADS, tech packs, print surface design and development of prototypes with a concentration in Men’s Sweaters, Knits, and Bottoms.
Essential Functions
- Conduct market research to identify new trends, and techniques with the aim to better understand the competitive landscape and create opportunities for growth
- Using Adobe Illustrator to articulate product detail execution of color, proportion, scale, style and a level of taste for men’s apparel
- Responsible for supporting the design process from concept to final design submission
- Create and maintain product tech packs in the PLM system on Sweaters, Knits, and Bottoms
- Maintain database of existing designs and help load and manage these images in PLM
- Communicate with factories and mills as needed to ensure accurate sample execution
- Update linesheets on Adobe InDesign to distribute internally
- Manage the organization and maintenance of the prototype, mill card, and color card library
- Develop all surface design print artwork for Crown, Crown Sport, and Crafted Knits and Swim
- Communicate with the production department and factories to ensure production is executed properly
- Analysis on Excel to demonstrate best sellers, worst sellers, retail price points, wholesale price points, wholesale margins, retail mark-ups, and category penetrations
- Exceptional skills in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, PLM, and Excel
- Outstanding time management skills, with the ability to balance multiple deadlines and priorities
- Motivated, self-starter on projects
- Accurate organizational methods with a strong attention to detail
- Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with employees, vendors and clients
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field
- 1-3 years’ experience in a Design position
