Are you a Chicago-based Art Director with branding experience who can expertly manage a variety of deadlines in a fast-paced environment? Our client, a global airline, is seeking an experienced Branding Art Director who will act as the creative liaison between the Sr. Manager of Creative Strategy and Branding and the creative design team. You will develop concepts aligned with the Sr. Manager’s brand vision and strategy. Your role translates that direction into innovative campaigns that stimulate and engages targeted audiences. leads creative and correspondence with stakeholders, assuring proper integration of product and alignment with corporate messaging and adherence to the brand guidelines.
Portfolio Note: In order to be considered, candidates must have 5+ years' professional experience in a similar role, and proven ability to direct the creation of materials that are attuned to the overall strategy/purpose of the client's brand.
You Will:
- Work closely with the Creative Leader, serve as a thought partner on project
- Discover, analyze and recommend creative solutions for internal and external applications
- Make recommendations that meet the needs of the client, customer and various internal stakeholders
- Manage design and production of creative
- Act as client creative lead in partnership with other art directors, overseeing all creative direction
- Coordinate and monitor efforts of internal and external production resources to deliver designs
- Take work from concept to final execution within deadlines
- Confer with clients to determine objectives, budget, background information, and presentation approaches, styles, and techniques
- Utilize knowledge to provide guidance to clients, cross-functional teams, and Creative Services so all teams can effectively deliver the most optimal creative solution
- Backed with extensive knowledge of the company and client needs, take an active role in driving the client’s creative and ensuring communication goals are effectively delivered
- Enhance Creative Service’s reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests
You Have:
- Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) emphasis on graphic design or similar graphic arts related degree
- A minimum of 5 years of professional experience
- Experience developing clear ideas and concepts based on the creative brief
- Proven success adhering to brand guidelines, and monitoring and communicating updates to these guidelines to a creative strategy and branding team
- Experience working closely with Creative Leaders, identifying freelance talent required for specific project needs and have actively participated during interviews to secure talent
- A great presence for presenting and can formulate and assist in presenting creative concepts
- Ability to skillfully manage and delegate responsibilities to designers and provide direction
- Hands on experience producing sketches, storyboards, roughs to visualize ideas and execute marketing initiatives and strategic positioning
Logistics:
- Projected Start Date: Immediate
- Duration: 10/31/2024, with possible extension
- Hours/Week: 40 hours per week, 9am – 5pm
- Onsite/offsite: Hybrid in Chicago, 2 days per week (flexible, but definitely Tuesdays)
- Background/Drug Screen Check needed? Yes, must clear before contract starts
- Pay Rate: $40-48/hour DOE
