As we wrap up #Pride month, we wanted to reflect on the amazing activities our OUT @ Omada ERG planned. What did we get up to? 🌈 We kicked off the month with Drag Show Bingo, hosted by Virtual Drag Shows' Schwa Works for the third year in a row! 🌈 Celebrated our pride with a karaoke hour hosted by our OUT ERG (we loved the Omada renditions of "Good Luck, Babe!" by Chappell Roan) 🌈 Held space for colleagues with a pride discussion hour for employees to have an opportunity to reflect on the importance of the month 🌈 Collaborated with the Capability ERG to host a speaker who identifies as neuroqueer to explore self-acceptance, regulation techniques, and learn more about the overlap between Autism and gender diversity 🌈 Lastly, OUT ERG sent Omada Pride swag to members! According to recent research from the Pew Research Center, 53% of Americans familiar with GLP-1s think they are a good option to lose weight for people with obesity or a weight-related condition. But in contrast, only 16% think they’ll do a great deal or quite a bit to reduce U.S. obesity overall. That leaves us wondering 🤔 How can we make a bigger impact on those that take GLP-1s so it has a larger effect on obesity prevalence? While we don’t prescribe GLP-1s, we’ve thought long and hard about how to help members not only while they take the medications, but also if/when they decide to stop taking them.
