Asphalt Superintendent

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Asphalt Superintendent to oversee and manage all aspects of asphalt paving projects, ensuring quality workmanship and timely completion. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring that all projects are completed within budget, on time, and to the satisfaction of clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage asphalt paving projects from start to finish, ensuring compliance with all safety and quality standards.
• Coordinate and schedule multiple crews, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely completion of projects.
• Ensure that all equipment and materials are properly maintained and utilized throughout the project.
• Monitor project budgets and ensure that all work is completed within budget constraints.
• Communicate with clients, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure that projects are completed to their satisfaction.
• Ensure that all work is compliant with DOT regulations and other applicable laws and regulations.
• Review project plans and specifications, identify potential issues, and develop solutions.
  
  

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in asphalt paving or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of asphalt paving techniques and materials, including hot mix, milling, and other related processes.
• Experience managing heavy civil construction projects.
• Experience working with DOT regulations and other applicable laws and regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field preferred.
