Cast is seeking an exceptional Assistant Boutique Manager for our boutique in San Jose at Santana Row.This is an amazing and rare opportunity to join a small but mighty team of creative, dedicated pros from companies like Sephora, Christian Loboutin, David Yurman, Nordstrom and Blue Nile, and build something sparkly, coveted and successful from the ground up. Our Santana Row boutique opened in December, 2023 and has been a raving success…and we plan on more, which will create additional career opportunities at Cast HQ.

ASSISTANT BOUTIQUE MANAGER – SAN JOSE, CA

The Cast Assistant Boutique Manager wants more than the typical assistant store manager role and works in a highly collaborative way across our entire team as we reimagine the experience of buying fine jewelry. Traditionally, purchasing fine jewelry can be daunting and intimidating. Cast changes that by offering an industry-changing approach to selling fine jewelry taking a page out of personal styling – engaging our clients with hospitality, warmth, inclusivity, and approachable, exceptional service.

You will play a pivotal role in helping to establish and protect the culture of Cast at retail. With a focus on warmth and hospitality first, you will be key in enabling an empowering and explorative experience for every guest. Working with the South Bay Boutique Manager, recruiting, training, developing, and retaining an exceptional Boutique Stylist Crew will be imperative to delivering the welcoming client experience of the Cast Boutique. You will instill in the team the importance of our unique, optimistic culture to ensure the welcoming vibe of Cast comes through from every Stylist. Your insights and experiences will drive the evolution of effective operating procedures and shape the planned expansion of Cast Boutiques.

You are optimistic, and passionate about delivering exceptional levels of distinctive customer service and driving sales, and care about long term client relationships. You enjoy a focus on developing and continually educating your Stylist Crew, communicating insightful feedback, driving consistency, and achieving KPIs. You love and appreciate the craftsmanship of fine jewelry and are passionate about finding thoughtful ways to educate and express the product stories through the physical store and the people hired to work there. You are a leader, a role model, and a team player. You understand the importance of your input and feedback in this startup stage, and you communicate it thoughtfully with an awareness of the impact on future Cast Boutiques.

Benefits include medical and dental insurance, employee discount and incentive plan, and paid parental leave, holidays and time off.Compensation range is $65K-$90K full-time salary plus a quarterly/annual bonus based on Boutique sales.

Responsibilities

Act as front-line brand ambassador for Cast Jewelry: welcoming Clients hospitably, connecting with them authentically, consulting intelligently, selling elegantly, and closing gratefully.

Lead by example to inspire a best-in-class Stylist Crew in developing and maintaining Client relationships, and consistently delivering exceptional, elegant Client Experiences and Cast hospitality

Support clienteling for the Boutique and its surrounding area, building client lists, coordinating outreach and creating a network of brand enthusiasts

Support local events and activities, in collaboration with our HQ events team

Proactively provide insights to inform and evolve the process for future Boutique openings and ongoing Boutique operations for the next 3-5 years

In concert with the Boutique Manager, recruit, train, develop and continually educate a high-performing, results-driven Cast Stylist Crew

Manage controllable expenses for the boutique

Ensure in-store compliance of store operation policies and standards, such as sales and record-keeping procedures, security, and overall maintenance of the boutique

Qualifications

Strong background in either retail store leadership or personal styling program leadership, ideally with 3-5 years of luxury goods / fine jewelry experience

Demonstrated experience recruiting, training, developing and retaining effective, engaged teams.

Passionate about welcoming customers and building long-term client relationships

Someone who leads by example and always goes above and beyond, maintaining a high level of integrity, initiative, motivation and self-direction

An understanding of operational excellence and what it takes to run a well-oiled store environment, which extends to caring about store and product appearance in a luxury environment

Strong interpersonal skills (with your Crew and with clients), clear communicator, acute attention to detail & self-motivated

A desire to consistently improve in an entrepreneurial environment, with an at-cause attitude

Proficiency with excel, google docs, timekeeping, and POS systems (ideally Shopify)

Ability to work cross-functionally with a diverse group of people

Polished, professional appearance and demeanor

Gemologist certification is a plus

A love of artful, shiny objects.
