Associate Accountant

This position provides an excellent opportunity for individuals early in their accounting careers to gain hands-on experience and contribute to the success of our Dairy Foods Business. In this role you will have daily, weekly and monthly inventory accounting responsibilities.

The role will be located at our Arden Hills, MN Headquarters (hybrid work arrangement each week).

Your Primary Responsibilities Will Include

• Managing third-party warehouse inventory reconciliations to ensure consistent inventory accuracy.
• Preparing and analyzing weekly / monthly inventory reconciliations and working directly with warehouse teams for timely resolution of identified variances to ensure inventory is properly accounted for.
• Monitoring of the logistics of our pallet program to ensure timely and accurate recording of pallet related transactions.
• Monitoring of open order reporting and proactively working with order originators for timely closure.
• Monitoring and clearing of variable weight balances, recording co-manufacturing production / shipments and maintaining metrics reporting.
• Driving process improvements where applicable and special projects as assigned.
  
  

Education And Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance strongly preferred. Candidates with an upcoming pending degree completion or relevant work experience in lieu of degree may be considered.
• Relevant work experience in cost accounting, inventory management or supply chain desired.
• Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office with intermediate skills in Excel (v-look ups, pivots).
• Knowledge of ERP systems, preferably JD Edwards.
