Associate Accountant (NJUS)
Purpose of Position
The Associate Accountant will be a key member of the Accounting team and support general accounting functions, including journal entry preparation, account roll forwards and reconciliations, financial statement closing controls and procedures in accordance with U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. This position also collaborates with other departments and supports process improvement initiatives.

The Associate Accountant will be a key member of the Accounting team and support general accounting functions, including journal entry preparation, account roll forwards and reconciliations, financial statement closing controls and procedures in accordance with U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Tasks And Responsibilities
- Responsible for preparation, monitoring and recording business transactions for U.S.-based companies, including chart of accounts update and mappings, intercompany billings, journal entries and accruals, account reconciliations and roll forward, financial statements and related analysis
- Ensure timely completion of accounting close process on a monthly and quarterly basis and compliance with regulatory requirements and company-established accounting policies and procedures
- Performs technical accounting research and provides financial and accounting advice to internal stakeholders
- Support process improvement projects and initiatives

- Stong knowledge in U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance
- Public accounting and/or corporate accounting experience preferred
- Intermediate or higher level of Microsoft Excel skills required
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains enterprise accounting software, or similar system preferred
- Strong adaptability, communciation, time management, and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently with attention to details, and effective organizational and problem solving skills
- Team player, takes pride and ownership in work
