Our client, the fastest growing and highest performing network of charter schools in the nation, is looking for an accomplished Associate Creative Director to join their growing team! Our client is going through a period of impressive growth, working to overturn the vast educational inequities that block opportunities for children by providing them with exceptional public education.


The Associate Creative Director is a problem-solver who thrives on delivering conceptually powerful, compelling, on-strategy, and detail-oriented executions against creative briefs. Beyond a mastery of design skills and software, the designer is proactive, self-motivated, passionate, a team-player and hungry. They are constantly cultivating a strong knowledge and mastery of the education sector, design and advertising industry practices and technical skills alike.


This is a hybrid position based out of New York City.


Responsibilities

  • Develop strong, strategically sound concepts from brief to production for small and large campaigns
  • Excellent communication skills; engages right team members at the right points, manages up as needed
  • Consistently deliver work on time, to the right degree of finish at each stage, and high quality
  • Efficiently manage project workload for day-to-day needs
  • Effectively expand upon the boundaries of our design work with respect for the core tenets of our brand to deliver inspired, fresh creative that still maintains brand consistency
  • Collaborate with other agency teams including digital, social, video, and project management
  • Maintains strong working knowledge of media as appropriate to ensure work maintains best practices by platform
  • Effectively manage and direct copywriters, photographers, illustrators, printers, retouchers, and other vendors as needed on a per-project basis
  • Effectively manage and direct freelance and junior designers in support of the organization’s short and long term goals
  • Strong presentation skills, clearly explaining how concepts will deliver against the strategic/ business/ creative goals to senior stakeholders
  • Liaise with stakeholders and project managers to ensure deadlines are met


Requirements

  • A minimum 3-5 years of experience, ideally in an agency environment
  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field
  • Strong conceptual and design thinking skills
  • Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite, designing for Google Suite, and relevant design software
  • Strong knowledge of best practices for digital (web, landing pages, email), print, social media, and video formats
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills; attention to detail, multitasking, prioritization and project management
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, self-motivated, deadline-driven environment.
  • Problem-solves with enthusiasm
  • Addresses feedback quickly and collaborates effectively
  • Stays up-to-date with industry developments and tools


Base salary: $75k-110k DOE + benefits
