Principal Consultant - Construction Claims & Forensic Accounting

As the Associate Director for Construction Claims and Disputes, you will play a critical role in leading and managing complex construction claims and disputes for our clients. You will be responsible for providing expert advice, preparing detailed claims, managing dispute resolution processes, and representing clients in negotiations and arbitrations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the preparation, submission, and negotiation of construction claims including delay, disruption, acceleration, and extension of time claims.
  • Conduct detailed analysis of project documents, contracts, schedules, and costs to identify and quantify claims.
  • Develop and implement effective dispute resolution strategies, including mediation, arbitration, and litigation support.
  • Represent clients in negotiations and dispute resolution proceedings, providing expert testimony as needed.
  • Collaborate with project teams, legal counsel, and external experts to ensure thorough and accurate claim documentation.
  • Provide strategic advice to clients on risk management and claim avoidance measures.
  • Mentor and develop junior staff members, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Stay current with industry trends, legal developments, and best practices in construction claims and disputes.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certifications (e.g PSP, PMP) preferred.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in construction claims and disputes, with a proven track record of successful claim management and resolution.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction contracts, project management principles, and dispute resolution processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to clearly present technical information to diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience in managing multidisciplinary teams.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and commitment to client service.
