Associate / Senior Associate – Generalist

Aldine Capital Partners (“Aldine”) is a Chicago-based private investment firm focused on making junior capital investments in lower-middle market companies. Founded in 2006, Aldine has invested $550+ million in 75+ businesses. Aldine is actively investing out of its $279 million Fund IV.

Role & Responsibilities

Aldine is seeking to add one full-time Associate/Senior Associate to join the firm. This person will play a significant role in supporting senior investment professionals and portfolio company management teams across all stages of Aldine’s investment process. Specifically, this individual will be expected to deliver thoughtful analysis in all aspects of the role including, but not limited to:

• Evaluating new investment opportunities through extensive financial and industry due diligence
• Preparing underwriting materials to support the investment process, including detailed financial models
• Communicating effectively with investment partners, management teams, due diligence providers, senior lenders and other third parties relevant to transaction underwriting
• Monitoring financial and operating performance of existing portfolio companies, including quarterly reviews and valuations

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or other similar business-related degrees
• 2+ years of relevant experience in private credit, investment banking, private equity, consulting, or an equivalent role
• Ability to execute on multiple projects with exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
• Demonstrated self-starter with the ability to thrive in an environment that requires minimal oversight
• Skilled in contributing effectively as a member of a small team, handling a diverse range of responsibilities
• Results-oriented with an exceptionally strong work ethic
• Extensive experience in financial modeling and Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Displays a high degree of maturity, confidence, and other interpersonal skills required to work with senior-level investment professionals, executives, and third parties
