Associate Software Developer
Job Summary
Responsible for designing, building, testing, and implementing software code that enables computer systems to perform specific tasks. Design the logic that delivers the computing system functionality. Scope out the development requests to ensure that appropriate time is assessed for the project; work closely with the development team to ensure the feature is delivered on time. The position will include DevOps responsibilities, including automating large-scale infrastructure management, developing continuous deployment processes, and integrating data center and cloud operations.

Major Duties & Responsibilities
EDUCATION/CREDENTIALS:
An Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
JOB RELEVANT EXPERIENCE:
Business experience in a healthcare and/or insurance setting is preferred.
JOB RELATED SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:
Present exceptional communication skills with a clear understanding of company business lines. The ability
to apply critical thinking, manage time efficiently and meet specific deadlines. Computer literacy and typing skills are essential.
Any lifting, bending, traveling, etc. required to do the job duties listed above. Long periods of sitting and
computer work.
WORK FROM HOME TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Supply and support their own internet services.
Maintaining an uninterrupted internet connection is a requirement of all work from home position.

We process over 200,000 insurance claims annually for leading national and regional Workers' Compensation, Disability, Auto, and Group Health Carriers, Third-Party Administrators, Managed Care Organizations, Employers, and Pharmacy Benefit Managers. We provide customized Independent Medical Exams and Peer Review programs that assist our clients in reaching the appropriate medical determination as part of the claims management process.

Major Duties & Responsibilities
- Working with engineers, developers, and product management to launch new applications, iterate on existing features, and be integral to developing our flagship product and be part of an agile team
- Write automation code for provisioning and operating infrastructure at massive scale in cloud and data center infrastructures and build and maintain continuous deployment processes
- Write automation and integration of complex processes in and between our data center and cloud infrastructures
- Be responsible for the design and development of the test automation to validate the builds in the CI/CD pipeline
- Monitor server applications and use tools and log files to troubleshoot and resolve problems
- Provide clear ownership in the form of milestone and meeting preparedness, meeting facilitation, and active engagement in detail tasks to ensure schedules are met
- Engage with Dane Street personnel, contractors, clients, and third-party resources to ensure complete project management from start to finish of a project
- As necessary, provide regular and detailed status updates to the Manager and other business leads to ensure all possible action is taken for on‐time project success
- Monitor the application's performance and health. Communicate progress, technical issues, and the resolution
- Support all internal business leadership in a subject‐matter‐expert capacity, as needed
- Design and program new features in support of the Dane Street business model
- Fluent in multiple programming languages. Expert user of application development tools
- Query SQL database to produce data to support other Infrastructure teams and the business
- Lead and prepare Software Development deployments to the Production code during Sprint releases; both planned and ad-hoc events
- Investigate and troubleshoot application issues for the following (not limited to): Bugs, APIs, User errors, and system crashes
- Other duties & special projects, as assigned and based on business needs

- Strong background in technical skills as well as operational knowledge
- Must have analytic skills and be comfortable in a fast paced business environment along with the ability to work through and with others
- Experience with corporate computer systems, multiple programming languages, and application development tools
- Experience with Ruby Programming Language is a must
