POSITION: Audio & Video Specialist
Description Of Duties
Maintain, troubleshoot and repair electronic equipment to include, but not limited to: projectors, computers and related audio-visual equipment. Install, maintain and replace Campus projectors, sound systems and other electronic systems. Maintain and repair the cabling infrastructure to include all cabling, amplifiers and associated equipment that carries the Campus video signal. Set-up audio-visual equipment for College events and special functions both on and off Campus. Assist with audio and video recording at various Campus locations. Support Campus users in the operation of audio-visual and other related equipment both on and off Campus. Utilize and maintain an inventory of surplus parts for repairs and maintenance. Interact and the IT Director, to recommend services and/or ordering of replacement parts and related support equipment. Schedule and maintain records of installations and maintenance. Regular attendance is an essential function of this position. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent. Education and/or certifications in electronic technology or related field. Two (2) years' experience working in electronics or electro-mechanics to include experience with computers and audio-visual equipment. Proficiency with electronic testing tools and equipment. Working knowledge of a variety of computer software programs including MS Office (PowerPoint). Ability to interpret system wiring and schematic diagrams. Excellent customer service, communication, interpersonal and organizational skills. Moderate lifting up to 50 lbs. and light carrying up to 25 lbs. required. Ability to reach above shoulder. Periods of time spent sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, bending and stooping.
Desired Qualifications
Associate's Degree in related discipline and/or related technical training/experience.
