Work Schedule: Onsite Washington DC
Compensation: $+35/hr
We are currently seeking a talented and motivated AV Engineer to maintain and enhance our state-of-the-art audiovisual systems.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the design and configuration of AV systems integrated with QSC, Crestron, Shure, and Dante components.
- Participate in the installation and configuration of new AV systems, ensuring compatibility with existing infrastructure.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of AV equipment to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
- Assist with system upgrades and evaluate new technologies to support the organization's goals.
- Produce and maintain technical documentation, including system configurations and troubleshooting procedures.
- Provide technical support and training to end-users, enhancing their ability to utilize AV resources effectively.
- Collaborate with senior engineers and project managers on larger installation projects and system overhauls.
- Liaise with vendors and service providers to support equipment procurement and system maintenance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Audio Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in AV system design, installation, and maintenance, preferably with exposure to QSC, Crestron, Shure, and Dante.
- Strong understanding of audio and video processing and control systems.
- Proficient in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
- Good organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Effective communication skills, capable of working collaboratively in a team environment.
- A proactive approach to technology and a willingness to engage in continuous learning and development.
- Familiarity with key components like QSC, Crestron, Shure, and Dante, and ability to manage, configure, and troubleshoot these systems.
- Skills in installing and configuring AV systems to meet organizational needs and ensuring seamless integration with existing technology infrastructure.
- Ability to quickly identify and resolve issues with AV equipment, preventing and minimizing system downtimes.
- Capability to assist in the design of AV systems under the guidance of senior engineers, including preparing system diagrams and integration plans.
- Competence in creating and maintaining accurate records and documentation of AV configurations, operations, and troubleshooting procedures.
Certifications
- Holding or pursuing certifications such as Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) or specific product certification from QSC, Crestron, Shure, or Dante
