Prior experience assisting persons with developmental disabilities preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Valid New York State Driver’s license required
Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To
Provide ongoing protective oversight to individuals living in the residence.
Implementation of Residential Habilitation Plans.
Implement innovative Behavior Support Plans with effectiveness and efficiency ensuring that accurate data is being collected to measure each person’s progress.
Provide assistance and instruction to each individual in basic activities of daily living.
Provide training and support for each individual in accordance with the individual program plan.
Provide assistance and instruction to each individual in basic activities of daily living which could include two person lift of individuals where necessary
Successful completion of the AMAP course and annual recertification for administration purposes.
Successful completion of the Life’s WORC Autism Training Workshop.
Scheduling flexibility. May be required to work beyond the normal shift.
Drive agency vans that are equipped with GPS monitoring systems and demonstrate safe driving practices. Ensure cleanliness of vehicles. Maintain vehicle logs.
Assist in maintaining a clean and safe environment. Proper use and maintenance of household equipment and appliances.
