We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced AV Technician to join our dynamic engineering team. This role is perfect for a motivated individual with a passion for audio-visual technology and a knack for problem-solving. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and operation of all AV equipment, with a strong focus on shading, AV control, cabling, and lighting. This position requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in the field and offers an exciting opportunity to work in a challenging, innovative environment where your expertise can make a difference.

Responsibilities

• Install, operate, maintain, and repair AV equipment including but not limited to projectors, amplifiers, speakers, microphones, and lighting systems.
• Perform routine checks and preventative maintenance to ensure equipment is in optimal working condition.
• Design and implement AV systems for various projects, ensuring high-quality sound and visual performance.
• Work closely with the engineering team to develop and implement solutions for complex AV problems.
• Manage the cabling of all AV equipment, ensuring a clean and organized setup.
• Operate and maintain AV control systems, ensuring seamless operation during presentations and events.
• Oversee the installation and operation of shading and lighting systems, ensuring optimal visual performance and audience comfort.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for all AV-related issues.
• Keep up-to-date with the latest AV technologies and industry trends.
  
  

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as an AV Technician or a similar role in the Engineering industry.
• Proficient in AV control systems, shading, cabling, and lighting.
• Strong technical skills and knowledge of AV equipment and systems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex AV issues.
• Ability to design and implement AV systems for a variety of projects.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical individuals.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must be able to lift and carry heavy equipment.
• Knowledge of the latest AV technologies and industry trends.
• A degree in Engineering, IT, or a related field would be advantageous.
