Behavioral Court Liaison

We are hiring IMMEDIATELY for a Specialty Court Liaison to join one of our community mental health providers!

Salary: $62K - $92K; $7,500 SOB

Job Summary

The Specialty Court Liaison will work closely with a team of individuals and organizations to support designated individuals and families who are justice involved.

Duties and Responsibilities

Meet with participants in the office or community to engage, counsel, intervene & promote compliance with treatment court mandates and treatment recommendations.

Maintain the values & purposes of the Behavioral Health and Family Treatment Courts. Track case assignments, balancing team workloads, monitoring the management of cases and services provided for adherence to Specialty Court standards and rules. Making reports to supervisory staff as needed to ensure professional services are being maintained by staff.

Complete weekly treatment notes as needed into the SCMS system for court reporting and grant funding for services provided and coordination of care between and with partner organizations.

Work as a team member with the Judges, Specialty Treatment Court Coordinators, assigned attorneys such as defendant/participant attorney, and District Attorney, DHS child welfare, CASA advocate, CARE of County & Probation Staff.

Coordinate with identified involved providers & systems to ensure the participant’s care is integrated.

Provide crisis support & intervention to assigned participants as needed.

Maintain participant’s assessments and treatment plans to ensure that appropriate goals and interventions are outlined that promote successful completion of the Specialty Court programs and support the completion of the benchmarks as outlined by the Specialty Court Standards.

Be available to do an in-custody assessment for potential specialty court admissions. Staff the results with the Specialty Court treatment team in order to confirm the appropriateness of the potential participant.

Be available and attend any/all Specialty Court Steering Committee meetings to talk about the needs and/or barriers the program may be facing.

Provide input from the treatment team member designation when needed for grant review and work with Specialty Court teams to increase the capacity to increase areas that are addressed and deemed not meeting the designated benchmark. Collaborate with Specialty Court team members on ways in which the Specialty Court can increase its capacity to ensure that future funding is approved for program implementation.

Schedule

This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week. Days and hours of work are variable, but generally Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm. This job may require longer hours and flexible schedule to meet client needs.

Required Education And Experience

Master’s degree in health-related field - LCSW, LPC preferred.

Experience working with the Justice Court systems.

Experience working with DHS – Child Welfare
