Position Summary

Under the general direction and in collaboration with the HR Operations Director, the Benefits Administrator will be responsible for oversight and administration of the Company’s Health and Welfare plan. This position will interface with benefit carriers and team members on a variety of benefit related topics, ensuring legal compliance, and participate with other benefit related functions.

About The Position

  • Works with all 3rd party vendors and brokers (July Services, Assured Partners, Wells Fargo, Anthem, Basic (life insurance), Hartford (supplemental).
  • Creates an overall benefits technology roadmap, implementing and maintaining all systems to ensure data integrity, seamless integrations, increase in utilization, federal compliance, and maximum operational efficiency.
  • Assists in preparing executive presentations for benefit and 401k plan amendments or changes by providing insightful cost-benefit analysis and metrics to drive higher enrollment where applicable, while minimizing team member and organization fees.
  • Oversees 401k program:
    • Open enrollment meetings, reminders, and portal maintenance.
    • Audit’s contributions against payroll and manually enters changes into ADP.
    • Processes loans, distributions, and rollovers.
  • Benefit Oversight:
    • Processes all benefit changes and manages team member inquiries.
    • Partners with the accounting and payroll department to ensure correct deductions and makes any necessary adjustments.
    • Reviews claims activity, plan performance, and utilization.
    • Participates in the renewal strategy and plan for open enrollment.
  • Executes open and new hire enrollment:
    • Presents during new hire orientation.
    • Provides 1x1 educational sessions as requested.
    • Processes qualifying life events.
  • Billing and Payroll:
    • Coordinates premium payments with payroll for team member life events.
    • Completes Anthem billing reconciliation ($576k). Allocates premium costs per team member in each department.
    • Reviews Hartford claims, and processes HSA funding for employer and employee.
  • FMLA Leave:
    • Processes and manages FMLA leave requests.
    • Reviews medical documentation and ensures federal compliance.
    • Maintains leave tracker which houses all the information on who is out and how much time they have taken towards their 480 hours.
  • Assists in team member assistance and questions.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, HR, or another business-related field preferred. Training, certification, or equivalent experience may be substituted for years of experience.
  • 3+ years in managing enterprise-wide benefit programs in a hyper-growth environment.
  • Advanced excel skills with the ability to mine and forecast utilization and trend data.
