General Description Of The Role

The mission of the Benefits and HR Operations Partner is to ensure the seamless administration and continuous assessment of employee benefits, as well as acting as a critical interface between the US HR team and the payroll department on HR Admin and Operations matters. This role supports the enhancement of employee experience and operational efficiency within Campari America, contributing to a cohesive and supportive work environment. The scope of the role will touch all areas of our US-based operations, from the local commercial organization, regional and global functions based in New York City, as well as our distilleries in Kentucky.

This role will report to the Employee Experience & Operations Lead for Campari America.

Key Responsibilities And Activities

Benefits Administration and Activation:

  • Oversee the administration of an extensive array of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, leave of absense, and wellbeing initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to benefits.
  • Conduct regular assessments and benchmarking of benefit offerings to ensure competitiveness and alignment with industry standards and cost effectiveness.
  • Contribute to the continuous communication, education and promotion of the employee benefits programs.

Employee Support:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries regarding benefits, providing clear and accurate information
  • Facilitate new hire orientations and open enrollment sessions, ensuring employees understand their benefits options.

Collaboration with Payroll:

  • Act as the liaison between the HR team and the Payroll department, ensuring accurate and timely processing of benefits-related deductions and adjustments
  • Coordinate with Payroll on issues such as benefits deductions, leave balances, and other payroll-related matters.

Data Management and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date benefits records in HRIS
  • Generate and analyze reports on benefits utilization and costs to support decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Provide data and insights for regulatory filings and audits.

Policy Development and Compliance:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of benefits policies and procedures
  • Monitor changes in benefits legislation and ensure company policies remain compliant.

Functional Capabilities And Educational Requirements

Functional Capabilities:

  • Strong understanding of employee benefits programs and regulations.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present data effectively.
  • Proficiency in HRIS and payroll systems, with advanced knowledge of Excel.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels.
  • Problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.

Educational / Professional Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 4-6 years of experience in benefits administration and HR operations.
  • Professional HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is preferred but not required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $114,600 - $140,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors and considerations. In addition to base salary and a generous employee benefits package, employees are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
