BIM(Building Information Modeling) Assistant
Job Description:
The BIM Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting the development and maintenance of BIM activities during the construction of a new manufacturing facility. This position is ideal for an individual with a background in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) disciplines and a keen interest in utilizing BIM technology to enhance construction processes.
Responsibilities:
BIM Development: Assist in the development and implementation of BIM processes and workflows to support the construction of the manufacturing facility.
Model Maintenance: Collaborate with project stakeholders to maintain and update BIM models throughout the construction process, ensuring that they accurately reflect the as-built conditions on site.
Coordination: Work closely with the project team to coordinate BIM activities, including clash detection, model coordination, and resolution of conflicts.
Data Management: Assist in the organization and management of BIM-related data, including model files, documentation, and project information.
Quality Assurance: Conduct regular quality checks on BIM models to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project requirements.
Training and Support: Provide training and support to project team members on BIM tools and workflows, helping to ensure that they are utilized effectively throughout the construction process.
Turnover Documentation: Assist in the preparation of BIM deliverables for turnover to the site team, including as-built models, drawings, and documentation.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or related field (preferred).
Some experience or coursework in BIM technology and processes.
Proficiency in BIM software such as Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, or similar platforms.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
