BIOLOGICS COORDINATORS

Two Positions

1) Administrative Biologics Coordinator - Non Nursing Background

2) Clinical Biologics and Wound Education Coordinator - Nursing Background RN or LPN

AmeriWound is recruiting 2 experienced clinical and administrative staff members (a nurse for our UR and Clinical Assessment role and a administrative & analytical candidate with medical terminology proficiency for the 2nd role) to coordinate ordering of biologics (amniotic tissue allographs) for approved patients. These are HIGH GROWTH opportunities for highly motivated and organized individuals. The Administrative Biologics Coordinator will possess some clinical knowledge with medical terminology expertise along with purchasing and negotiations skills. The Clinical Biologics and Wound Education Coordinator will serve in a utilization review and chart review role to assess the potential clinical need for applying amniotic tissue on non healing wounds.

The selected individuals will respectively be clinically AND financially astute in ordering ASP (average sales price) Medicare approved skin tissue substitutes. The Biologics Coordinators will place orders based upon verifying qualified clinical criteria, accurately documented clinical orders and requests from providers, assessing tissue costs and the associated reimbursement for Medicare patients, the Medicaid reimbursements by state, verifying wound and tissue measurements, and the coordination with the respective biologics manufacturers and distributors that we contract with - post receipt of approved IVRs (insurance verifications).

The Administrative Biologics Coordinator will focus primarily on coordinating IVRs, ordering the correct amniotic tissue grafts, and negotiating pricing with manufacturers.

The Clinical Biologics and Wound Education Coordinator (a nurse) will primarily focus on reviewing patient charts and clinically assess and determine if any biologics products could potentially improve the healing process for non healing or declining wounds. Subsequently, the Clinical Biologics and Wound Education Coordinator will contact the providers and inform and/or educate them about the various skin substitutes that are available should the provider decide to utilize a skin substitute.

Both Biologics Coordinator positions will be hybrid, working primarily 3-4 days/week from our Mayfield Heights, Ohio offices and 1-2 days remote.

Only Greater Cleveland, Ohio residents will be considered. If interested, please forward your resume ASAP to Lauren Pepple, HR Director at lpepple@ameriwound.com.
