Position Description
We are seeking a skilled Business Analyst to drive strategic insights through data analysis, process optimization, and stakeholder collaboration. The ideal candidate will have experience in gathering requirements, conducting market research, and translating findings into actionable recommendations to enhance operational efficiency and business growth.
Duties And Responsibilities
The projected compensation range for this position is $100,000 to $130,000 per year benchmarked in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. Salary at LCG is determined by various factors, including but not limited to role, location, the combination of education/training, knowledge, skills, competencies, certifications, and work experience.

Duties And Responsibilities
- Conduct requirements elicitation by gathering, identifying, and documenting the ITB application’s business and functional requirements.
- Develop a Requirements Management Plan and a Requirements Traceability Matrix for all ITB applications define, develop, approve, trace, and manage requirements.
- Update the requirements documentation throughout the SDLC to include prioritization of requirements and further decomposition of requirements.
- Identify risks associated with the development of new software efforts, including extension systems, the analysis and classification of those risks as to severity and likelihood and the identification of techniques to mitigate the risks.
- Obtain the acceptance criteria by the customer and federal IT PM.
- Develop and/or recommend improvements to internal procedures and processes that could improve the quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of ITB software projects.
- Review SDLC deliverables and provide comments/ recommendations as appropriate.
- Complex analysis and reporting, utilizing data within and external to the program repository to support business planning activities.
- Assist with the development of business case documents by providing feasibility and high- level business requirements analysis for existing systems or new requests and development cost.
- Functional and System Requirements: Define and document requirements at a level adequate to support acquisition and future contract control, if not sufficiently documented by the Concept team. This activity may require conducting requirements review and analysis and development and/or review of use cases; participation in program working groups; providing technical input into regulatory/rule/guidance development where appropriate; preliminary cost estimate; and estimate of lifecycle costs. The results of this activity may be used to support the Independent Government Cost Estimate (IGCE) for the work effort.
- Provide/Review/ Finalize necessary documents during each major phase of the Project.
- Initiation phase documents shall include Business Needs statement and Business Case (where applicable).
- 5 Years’ experience of professional development lifecycle.
- Experience with functional analysis and designing use cases and software development lifecycle documents.
- Experience with Requirement and Testing Tools.
- 5 or more years' practiced skills with general software testing (Functional, Regression, and Integration).
- Around 4 or more years' experience and practice skills with 508 Compliance/Accessibility testing.
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
- Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP)
