Job Summary: The Campus Recruiter is responsible for managing and executing the recruitment process for interns and entry-level positions by building relationships with colleges, universities, and other educational institutions. This role involves developing and implementing strategies to attract top talent from campuses, coordinating campus events, and guiding candidates through the recruitment process. The Campus Recruiter plays a key role in developing a strong talent pipeline and enhancing the organization’s brand among college students and recent graduates.

Key Responsibilities

  • Campus Recruitment Strategy:
    • Develop and implement effective campus recruitment strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified candidates for internships and entry-level positions.
    • Build and maintain relationships with career services, faculty, and student organizations at targeted colleges and universities.
    • Collaborate with business leaders and HR teams to understand staffing needs and align campus recruitment efforts with business objectives.
  • Event Planning and Execution:
    • Plan, organize, and attend on-campus recruitment events such as career fairs, information sessions, and networking events.
    • Coordinate and lead campus recruiting activities, including presentations, interviews, and on-site visits.
    • Manage logistics for campus events, including event promotion, scheduling, and coordination with campus representatives.
  • Candidate Sourcing and Screening:
    • Source and engage with students and recent graduates through various channels, including career fairs, social media, and networking events.
    • Screen resumes, conduct initial interviews, and assess candidates’ qualifications, skills, and cultural fit for the organization.
    • Maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future internships and entry-level positions.
  • Candidate Experience:
    • Ensure a positive and seamless candidate experience throughout the recruitment process by maintaining clear and timely communication.
    • Provide candidates with detailed information about the company, its culture, and the career opportunities available.
    • Guide candidates through the interview and selection process, including coordinating interviews, providing feedback, and managing the offer process.
  • Employer Branding:
    • Collaborate with the HR and marketing teams to promote the company’s brand on campuses and enhance its reputation as an employer of choice for students and recent graduates.
    • Develop and distribute marketing materials, such as brochures, presentations, and social media content, that highlight the company’s culture and career opportunities.
    • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking functions to build brand awareness and attract top talent.
  • Internship Program Management:
    • Assist in the design, implementation, and management of the company’s internship program, ensuring a valuable experience for both interns and the organization.
    • Coordinate intern onboarding, training, and mentorship programs to facilitate a smooth transition into the company.
    • Monitor intern performance, provide feedback, and support the conversion of interns to full-time employees.
  • Data and Reporting:
    • Track and analyze key campus recruitment metrics, such as conversion rates, time-to-hire, and diversity outcomes, to assess the effectiveness of recruitment strategies.
    • Prepare reports and presentations on campus recruitment activities and outcomes for HR leadership and business stakeholders.
    • Use data-driven insights to continuously improve campus recruitment practices and make informed decisions.
  • Compliance and Reporting:
    • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations throughout the campus recruitment process.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of candidate interactions and recruitment activities in the applicant tracking system (ATS).
    • Assist in preparing compliance reports, such as EEO-1 and other regulatory filings, as required.
Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in recruitment, talent acquisition, or a related field, with a focus on campus recruiting.
  • Proven ability to build relationships with academic institutions and engage with students and recent graduates.
  • Strong understanding of recruitment best practices, employment law, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in using applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other HR technology platforms.
  • Ability to travel to various campuses and recruitment events as required.
