ITAV is seeking a Capital Campaign Manager eager to help lead its $102 million capital campaign to transform the revered Hales Franciscan campus in the heart of Chicago’s historic Bronzeville community into a center of academic excellence.


The 9.1-acre campus, which will house an elementary school, early childhood learning center, high school, and community center, will provide equitable educational opportunities and a transformative learning environment for students across Chicago, as well as a birth to career pathway.


The Capital Campaign Manager, a full-time salaried ITAV employee, will report to the Chief Executive Officer.


Role

The Capital Campaign Manager will collaborate in the creation and implementation of campaign goals, objectives, and timelines, working with a variety of campaign volunteers, consultants, and donors. They will participate in weekly campaign meetings with staff and volunteer leadership.


The primary responsibilities of the Capital Campaign Manager are to ensure all aspects of the capital campaign move forward, data is captured accurately, and individualized strategy is created for the campaign’s portfolio of leadership ($25,000+) donors. This includes day-to-day details of campaign implementation, arrangements, and notifications for meetings, campaign correspondence, monitoring gift and pledge records, as well as leading the database administration.


Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Overall campaign management duties include

  • Attend and support all capital campaign planning and volunteer leadership meetings.
  • Prepare all lists, reports, and profiles concerning campaign prospects.
  • Manage and maintain records of cultivation strategies, evaluations, solicitations, contact reports, and results of all contacts with campaign prospects.
  • Produce all capital campaign packets for prospect and donor visits with supporting documentation and follow-up correspondence.
  • Produce all campaign correspondence including letters of acknowledgment.
  • Maintain records regarding campaign gifts and pledges including payment schedules and the production of pledge reminders for outstanding pledge balances.
  • Handle any incidental details related to the campaign as specified by their supervisor.


Leadership donors and prospects

  • Provide structure and support to staff and volunteer campaign leadership in the planning and tracking of moves management for leadership donors and prospects (individuals, foundations, and corporations).
  • Manage tracking of moves and other relevant donor and prospect information and ensure its accuracy in the database.


Data Administration, Management, and Supervision

  • Prepare analysis of campaign progress, proactively offering insight that will impact campaign operations and relationship management practices.
  • Serve as point person for ITAV staff members working in the database, including providing appropriate training, creating dashboards, and overseeing database privileges.

Who You Are

  • Passionate Advocate: You are deeply aligned with ITAV's mission, believing in the transformative power of education to impact lives and communities.
  • Experienced Fundraiser: You have a proven track record in fundraising and major gift management, with expertise in using systems like Little Green Light or Bloomerang.

Required Education & Training

  • At least three years of fundraising database management is required, including knowledge of queries, reports, imports/exports, and lists
  • Work with Little Green Light or Bloomerang products preferred
  • At least three years of experience in supporting major gift fundraising and a concrete understanding of Moves Management
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills and sound judgment
  • Must be organized, have strong attention to detail, able to accept direction, and ability to work independently
  • Must maintain utmost discretion with regard to donor confidentiality and privacy
  • Some night and weekend work required
