Our ASC is physically attached to our main medical office (South Jersey Eye Physicians). We pride ourselves on being a warm, friendly, “family style” facility where our patients receive the highest quality care and where our staff feel valued.
Our cases are all scheduled, so we NEVER have late emergency add-ons; no weekends; no call. Our pace is quick, and our entire surgical team is highly focused, tightly integrated and well-coordinated.
Responsibilities Of The Scrub Tech Include
Interact appropriately and effectively with all members of our surgical team: surgeon, anesthesiologist, nurses, other techs
Observe use of Standard Universal Precautions, appropriate hand hygiene, PPE, and safe practices to ensure personal, patient, and environmental safety
Prepare and organize the operating room equipment, instruments, and supplies as required for surgical procedures
Anticipate surgeon needs during a procedure
Communicate and collaborate effectively with all perioperative team members to promote a safe surgical environment
Maintain HIPAA compliance
Responsibilities on non-surgery days will include restocking, patient phone calls, preparing for next day surgery, completing tracking logs, inventory, ordering, organizing and other various projects.
Requirements
Surgical Technician certification
A great team player with excellent communication skills
Excellent knowledge of aseptic and sterile techniques
Work independently, holding yourself accountable for quality and sterility
Outstanding organizational ability
