Chemical Engineer

The Chemical Production Engineer supports production optimization efforts focused on maximizing asset value through integrated production surveillance, optimization, and technical support. This position will sit in the Beaumont, TX area. This is an onsite position. Relocation assistance may be provided to qualified candidates.

Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for supporting production performance, provide technical assistance to plant operations, troubleshooting processes, identify opportunities for improvement and debottlenecking initiatives.
• Responsible for working with the engineering teams, support, EHS, quality and development teams to optimize production of their assigned production areas.
• Troubleshooting chemical processing to achieve short and long term production goals while maintaining high levels of quality and yield.
• Work closely with Operations personnel to implement any required changes in procedures
• Support Operations Superintendent with diagnosis and forward plan during complex operations

REQUIREMENTS

• BS Chemical Engineering
• 2+ years’ experience in process engineering, chemical or production engineering in a chemical manufacturing environment
• Experience in a PSM environment
